Baby’s First Year Club Launched

Tuesday, September 22nd, 2009

Babies are the most precious thing that you will ever have in your life.  I treasure the photos I have of our kids when they were wee ones.  Wish I had more.  There comes a time when they are gone and those photos will be worth their weight in gold.

I have just started a club for photographing your baby’s first year.  You get four sessions during the first year, an 8×10 of your favorite at each session and a plaque with the four favorites mounted at the end of the year.  No doubt about it, baby’s change a lot in the first year.    Hopefully the club pricing will encourage people to make sure they have that first year recorded.

Here are a couple from a first shoot in the year of sessions.  Love to see them sleep.  Not a care in the world.  Something to strive for.  Larger copies in baby gallery.  Starting to redo it.

Dragon and Lion for Moncton Chinese Community

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

On Thursday, September 10th, Ambassador Lan from the Chinese Embassy visited the Moncton area Chinese Community to donate Dragon and Lion costumes.  We had various dignitaries present to make some speeches.  All in all it was a very upbeat event.  This marks the first time that the Moncton Chinese Community will own their own costumes.  You can be sure that they will be brought out for many special events.

Urban photography for grads

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

I was able to spend some more time with Ali doing an urban shoot.  Urban photography is, well, it is photography in an urban setting.  You use brick, stone, glass, cement, etc in the same way that you would use trees, grasses and other textures in a nature setting.  This medium is also well suited for adding extra textures in the post processing of the images.  Again, these images are larger so they will be clipped somewhat if you try to view them as a slide show.
